Sparta Prague plays its home matches at the Letná Stadium, where some Czech national team matches are also played. This historical facility was opened in 1917 and today can accommodate more than twenty thousand spectators.
You can visit the stadium on a guided tour, during which you can enter the press room, the VIP lounge, the changing rooms, the tunnel leading to the pitch and the TV area where you can enjoy the best view of the pitch, like a real sports reporter! Of course you can also climb into the stands and imagine the excitement of a live match.
Tours are available in Czech and English; other languages are only available by prior arrangement.
With a history spanning more than a hundred years and a string of national and international successes, Sparta Prague is certainly the most famous football team in the Czech Republic.
It is a true record-breaking team in its homeland: it holds the record for the number of wins in the Czechoslovak and present-day Czech championships as well as the Czechoslovak Cup and the subsequent Czech Republic Cup. Many Sparta Prague players have played for the Czech national team.
